Goldstone – riding in his first-ever Red Bull Hardline – put in an incredible performance to finish six and a half seconds ahead of British rivals Joe Smith and Taylor Vernon, who placed second and third respectively. Speaking straight after his win, the 18-year-old from Squamish, British Columbia, was clearly overwhelmed. "I'm on top of the world now, it’s insane!" he said. "I was scared the first couple days but, once I started riding the course more, the nerves went away." Thirty of the world's best and bravest riders sought to survive Red Bull Hardline's most challenging course to date .
